How to Advertise on Trendyol: Ad Types, Cost per Order, Break-Even ROAS and Profit (2026)

How to advertise on Trendyol: ad types, seller panel steps, ad cost per order, break-even ROAS including returns, maximum CPC and an incrementality test.

    TL;DR — Summary

    • Trendyol ads are created under Ad Management in the seller panel: pick the ad type, set budget and dates, add products, and fund the balance from your earnings or by card. For product ads you set a maximum cost per click (CPC) or use Automatic CPC.
    • Ad cost per order = CPC / Conversion rate. A TRY 4 CPC at 2% conversion means TRY 200 of ads per order; on a TRY 800 product the panel shows a ROAS of 4.0.
    • The profit threshold depends on returns. Ignoring returns gives a break-even ROAS of 3.5 for this product; with 8% returns it is 4.1, so a ROAS of 4.0 looks fine in the panel but loses TRY 3.18 per order (illustrative amounts).
    • Panel ROAS can include orders you would have received anyway. Check incremental ROAS: a campaign showing 5.3 in the panel may really contribute 3.0.

How do you advertise on Trendyol? (Short answer)

Advertising on Trendyol, Turkey's largest marketplace, happens in the Ad Management section of the seller panel. You create a new ad, choose the type, set a daily or total budget and dates, add products and publish. You can fund the ad balance from your earnings or by credit card.

Setup takes minutes; knowing whether the ad makes money is the hard part. Most of this guide covers what the panel does not show you: ad cost per order, a break-even ROAS that includes returns, the highest CPC you can afford, and a test for whether ads create extra sales. Amounts are illustrative and in Turkish lira, since that is what Trendyol sellers work with.

What ad types does Trendyol offer?

Trendyol's ad site (ads.trendyol.com) lists the following formats for sellers. Availability varies by store, so treat your panel as the final word.

    • Product Ads: promote products on the home page, in search results, product lists and favorites. This is where most sellers should start, because it reaches people already shopping
    • Store Ads: banner and video placements for your store. Trendyol says there is no Buybox requirement for this format
    • Commission-based Influencer Ads: you pay a commission on realized net sales instead of an upfront budget
    • Meta Ads: retarget Trendyol shoppers on Instagram and Facebook; active products with stock above 4 enter the catalog automatically
    • Promotional Ads and Display: listed on the site without details, so check conditions in the panel

How to set up a Trendyol product ad

Menu names change now and then, but public seller guides describe the same flow. Also note the balance rules reported in those guides: the balance section activates about a month after the store opens, a single transfer is capped (TRY 50,000 in a January 2026 guide), and loaded balance is not refunded as cash. Confirm current terms in the panel and avoid loading large amounts while testing.

    • 1. Open Ad Management in the seller panel and choose to create a new ad
    • 2. Select product ads and name the ad after the product group
    • 3. Set the start and end dates, then a daily or total budget
    • 4. Choose products. Trendyol suggests at least 5 similar products from one category; skip items where you lost the Buybox or stock is low
    • 5. Set the bid: enter a maximum CPC (see the calculation below) or choose Automatic CPC
    • 6. Fund the balance, publish, and check spend and orders daily in the first week

How much do Trendyol ads cost?

Product ads have no fixed price list. Trendyol defines CPC as the maximum you agree to pay per click; the actual cost moves with category, competition, season and product performance. Turkish guides disagree widely: one quotes TRY 0.24–1.87 per click while mixing kuruş and lira, another gives unsourced category ranges such as TRY 1.20–3.50, and minimum budgets range from TRY 10 per product per day to TRY 20–25 per day. Some even describe the same format as pay-per-impression while the official site describes bids as CPC.

So do not plan on someone else's average. The bid range in your panel and the real CPC from your first test are worth more than any blog table. CPC figures below only demonstrate the math.

How do you calculate ad cost per order?

CPC is not the number that matters most; ad cost per order is. Three formulas give the same answer, so use whichever data you have.

Example: on a TRY 800 product with a TRY 4 CPC and 2% conversion, ad cost per order is 4 / 0.02 = TRY 200, and the panel shows a ROAS of 800 / 200 = 4.0. If CPC falls to TRY 3, cost drops to TRY 150 and ROAS rises to 5.3. Improving conversion through images, reviews, price or delivery speed has the same effect.

    • Ad cost per order = Total ad spend / Orders from ads
    • Ad cost per order = CPC / Conversion rate
    • Ad cost per order = Average order value / ROAS

What is the break-even ROAS on Trendyol, including returns?

ROAS is only good or bad relative to the profit a product leaves before ads. Commission, shipping and the service fee are covered in our Trendyol commission rates guide. What most calculations skip is returns: on a returned order, revenue and commission come back, but outbound shipping, return shipping and packaging stay with the seller, and so does the money paid for the click.

Subtracting fees from price therefore understates the threshold. The correct version weights each order by its chance of being kept: Expected pre-ad profit = (1 − Return rate) × (Price − Commission − Service fee − Product cost) − Outbound shipping − Packaging − Return rate × Return shipping. Break-even ROAS = Price / Expected pre-ad profit.

    Example: TRY 800 price, 21% commission (TRY 168), TRY 10.99 service fee, TRY 300 product cost, TRY 81.95 shipping each way, TRY 10 packaging, 8% returns (illustrative). Expected profit is 0.92 × 321.01 − 81.95 − 10 − 6.56 = TRY 196.82, so break-even ROAS is 800 / 196.82 = 4.06. Ignoring returns gives TRY 229.06 and a threshold of 3.49, and every campaign between 3.5 and 4.1 looks profitable while losing money.

To keep 8% of the sale price (TRY 64) as profit, target ROAS is 800 / (196.82 − 64) = 6.02. Trendyol's marketing line about returns of 'up to 12 times ad spend' is a ceiling, not a benchmark; what matters is whether you clear your own threshold.

    • ROAS 3.0: ad cost per order TRY 266.67 → result per order −TRY 69.84
    • ROAS 4.0: TRY 200.00 → −TRY 3.18
    • ROAS 5.0: TRY 160.00 → +TRY 36.82
    • ROAS 6.0: TRY 133.33 → +TRY 63.49
    • ROAS 8.0: TRY 100.00 → +TRY 96.82

What is the highest CPC you can afford?

Maximum CPC = Allowed ad cost per order × Conversion rate. In the example, at 2% conversion the break-even CPC is 196.82 × 0.02 = TRY 3.94. To protect an 8% margin, the allowed ad cost falls to TRY 132.82 and the CPC cap to TRY 2.66. With Automatic CPC you cannot enter this number, but you can audit against it: if average CPC stays above break-even, the campaign is losing money on your behalf.

Conversion varies by product, so a new listing without reviews should not share a bid with a proven seller.

Are Trendyol ads profitable for every product?

No. With the same 8% return assumption, break-even ROAS swings widely. Rank your catalog by break-even ROAS before advertising. Products with very high thresholds are better sold through bundles that raise basket size.

    • TRY 199.90 product (TRY 80 cost, TRY 38.74 flat shipping, TRY 5 packaging): expected profit TRY 14.74, break-even ROAS 13.6
    • TRY 800 product (example above): break-even ROAS 4.06, a good candidate
    • TRY 15,000 phone (TRY 13,500 cost, 6% commission, 3% returns): expected profit TRY 476.93, break-even ROAS 31.5

Does panel ROAS show real sales? The incrementality test

Ad reports count orders attributed to ads, but some of those orders would have come through organic results anyway, especially from shoppers already searching for your brand or product. Paying for them adds no sales.

A simple test: pick two weeks away from campaigns and price changes. Keep ads off the first week and on the second, with price and stock unchanged. Incremental ROAS = (Revenue with ads − Revenue without ads) / Ad spend.

Example: a TRY 800 product sells 120 units in the week without ads. In the ad week you spend TRY 12,000, the panel credits 80 orders (ROAS 5.3) and total orders reach 165. Real growth is 45 orders: incremental ROAS is 45 × 800 / 12,000 = 3.0, which sits below this product's break-even.

This test is imperfect because demand shifts week to week, so repeat it and, if you can, hold back a similar product group. It still beats accepting the panel number. As for the common claim that ads lift organic rank, we found no official Trendyol source that quantifies it, so measure organic sales in the weeks after you pause ads instead of budgeting on it.

How much budget should you start with?

Think in data rather than daily lira. A practical rule is to see at least 10 orders for a product group before deciding. At 2% conversion that is 500 clicks; at a TRY 3 CPC the test costs TRY 1,500, or about TRY 107 per day over 14 days. This is not a statistical guarantee, just a floor that prevents panicked early decisions.

Scale in steps while watching ad cost per order. Our Ad Budget Calculator works out a total budget from revenue targets and margin.

How do discounts change the math?

Discounts move break-even ROAS more than ad costs do. Selling the example product at 15% off (TRY 680) cuts expected profit from TRY 196.82 to TRY 109.61 and lifts break-even ROAS from 4.06 to 6.20. A ROAS of 5 that made money last week now loses it. Recalculate at campaign prices, update CPC caps, and fund only products that still earn after the discount. Our Black Friday 2026 ad plan has a week-by-week schedule.

How should you judge influencer and Meta ads?

Commission-based influencer ads cost money only when a sale happens, so watch the commission cap rather than ROAS. Break-even influencer commission = Expected pre-ad profit / (Price × (1 − Return rate)). In the example that is 196.82 / 736 = 26.7%; bid clearly below it to keep a margin.

Meta ads use the same break-even ROAS, but the shopper is being reminded rather than searching, so the incrementality question matters even more.

    Common Trendyol advertising mistakes

Most guides focus on setup tips, but calculation errors usually burn more budget.

    • Treating panel ROAS as profit
    • Leaving returns out of the threshold, especially in apparel
    • Advertising low-priced products where flat shipping and fees consume the margin
    • Spending on products without the Buybox or with low stock
    • Using one bid for every product even though each has its own break-even CPC
    • Not recalculating thresholds at campaign prices
    • Deciding after two days, before enough orders exist

    Frequently Asked Questions

What do you need to advertise on Trendyol?

An active seller account, eligible products and an ad balance. Ads are created under Ad Management in the seller panel. Public guides say the balance section activates about a month after the store opens; some formats have extra conditions listed in the panel.

How much do Trendyol ads cost per day?

There is no fixed fee. You set the budget and, for product ads, a maximum cost per click. Published minimums disagree, so check the current limit in your panel and size your test to reach at least 10 orders.

What is a good ROAS on Trendyol?

A good ROAS is any value above your product's break-even ROAS, which is price divided by expected pre-ad profit. In our examples the threshold is 4.06 for a TRY 800 product and 13.6 for a TRY 199.90 product.

    Are Trendyol ads worth it?

It depends on the product. They can pay off with healthy margins, controlled returns and strong conversion, while low-priced, thin-margin items usually spend more on ads than they earn. Compare ad cost per order with expected profit, then run an incrementality test.

Should I use Automatic CPC or manual bids?

Automatic CPC lets the system set click costs per product and is easier to start with. Manual bids let you apply your break-even CPC directly. Either way, audit average CPC against each product's break-even CPC.
